E dopo i VMA's Britney ha dominato anche gli EMA. Complimenti anche ai co-conduttori cioè i 30 Seconds To Mars.
Comunque tutto sommato bello show, brava Katy Perry come presentatrice (e coraggiosa soprattutto a mettere certi vestitini trashissimi, come quello con il carillon incorporato) e belle anche le performaces soprattutto quella dei The Killers e di Beyoncé. Ma il momento memorabile è stato di sicuro la sconsegna dell'Ultimate Legend Award a Paul McCartney, visto che, tra l'altro, questa manifestazione si svolgeva a Liverpool, la città dei Beatles.
Ah, dimenticavo: come ogni evnto che si rispetti, anche agli EMAs si è parlato di politica, anche perché molti artisti hanno supportato Barack Obama che, come sappiamo tutti, martedì è diventato il nuovo presidente degli USA.

Ebbene si, stanotte ho seguito tutti gli MTV VMA's, e sono qui x farvi un resoconto della serata.
Intanto c'è da dire della vendetta di Britney che, se l'anno scorso aveva deluso tutti quanti con la disastrosa performance di "Gimme More", quest'anno, oltre a vincere molti premi, è ritornata in splendida forma come ai tempi d'oro.
Molto belle anche le esibizioni, le mie preferite sono state quelle di Rihanna, sia da sola che in coppia con T.I., Pink, Jonas Brothers, Paramore e Christina Aguilera. Tra poco arriveranno anche un post con le foto e le performances, x ora vi lascio ai vincitori.

"About A Girl" dei Nirvana live @ MTV Unplugged in New York (1993)

Oggi, oltre a quella di Layne Staley, ricorre l'anniversario della morte di Kurt Cobain dei Nirvana (in realtà il suo corpo fu trovato 3 giorni dopo). Per ricordarlo, vi posto una storica performance da "MTV Unplugged in New York", registrata alla fine del 1993, e pochi mesi prima della morte di Kurt Cobain. Ma tornando ai Nirvana: se è vero che di Dave Grohl si sa tutto (o quasi), e la sua carriera va ancora da dio (il successo dell'ultimo album dei Foo Fighters ne è la prova), di Krist Novoselic non si parla più tanto, però si sa che è un attivista politico, che vive nella comunità isolata di Deep River, nella contea di Wahkiakum County, Washington, e ora suona nei Flipper. Una delle performances più famose dei VMAs. Si tratta di Usher, che si è esibito cantando "Confessions Part II" e "Yeah"; un'altra performance bellissima dei VMA's di quell'anno fu quella di Alicia, Lenny e Stevie che, se riesco a trovare, un giorno vi posterò.
